La Famiglia
Per più di un secolo, dal 1907 (dal fondatore Giovanni), la famiglia Zamperini ha vissuto nella campagna che circonda il Castello di Ripa d’Orcia. Durante tutti questi anni i membri della famiglia si sono dedicati alla fattoria con amore e passione, mantenendo le antiche tradizioni agricole dell’ allevamento e della coltivazione e la cura dei vigneti, ulivi e boschi che circondano l’azienda.
Dal 1999 Poggio Grande è anche una cantina. Luca, il proprietario, ha dedicato la massima cura nella scelta di ogni dettaglio: dalla terra migliore per impiantare nuovi vigneti a metodi sperimentativi nei processi di cantina, al fine di ottenere una produzione di grande qualità.
The Family
For more than a century, since 1907 (from the founder Giovanni), the Zamperini family has lived in the countryside surrounding the Ripa d’Orcia Castle. During all these years the family members have dedicated themselves to the farm with love and passion, maintaining the ancient agricultural traditions of breeding and cultivation and the care of the vineyards, olive trees and woods that surround the company.
Since 1999 Poggio Grande is also a cellar. Luca, the owner, has paid the utmost care in choosing every detail: from the best land to plant new vineyards to experimental methods in the cellar processes, in order to obtain a high quality production.

Per questo è lui in prima persona, affiancato dalla figlia Giulitta a seguire quotidianamente ogni passaggio della produzione, nel massimo rispetto della terra e dei suoi frutti.
Tradizione e innovazione si legano in un connubio perfetto che negli anni ha portato Luca a dimostrare una grande versatilità dei terreni piantando oltre al Sangiovese, principe indiscusso, vitigni internazionali piuttosto insoliti per l’area di produzione.
